Continuing from page 4:
In this next picture from Boothbay Harbor and our Inn, you can see Cuckolds on the more distant island. The closer one, on the right, is Burnt Island Light.
Here is a different photo of Cuckolds and Burnt Island, with some active birds.
Cuckolds, this time with Seguin Island Light Station in the background. It is 7 miles "as the crow flies" between Cuckolds and Seguin. It is 11 miles from Ocean Point to Seguin (and 4 miles from Ocean Point to Cuckolds, all "as the crow flies:).
The above picture was taken at Ocean Point, as were these next photographs.
In these next 2 pictures, a neutral density filter was used that allowed a longer exposure time. This lets the camera capture some of the movement of the waves.
The longer the exposure time, the more ethereal the effect. (The filter is required to reduce the amount of light getting into the camera; without it the picture would be overexposed and not have any detail.)
Ram Island Lighthouse is at Ocean Point. Here is the view during the day:
and at night:
This next picture was taking looking at a working fishing up in Friendship, Maine.
Familiar views of Boothbay Harbor:
And a bit closer:
Here are a few more minimalistic views of the ocean:
This house has some pretty nice water views:
Here is a picture of Hendricks Head Lighthouse before we move on:
